Moving Forward with Love to Serve the Poor.
Founded by Father Joachim Lally, CSP in 1989, Adelante Youth Mission (AYM) works with our Dominican partners Misión Joven, to build cultural bridges between youth and adult volunteers from all throughout the United States, and missionaries living in the Dominican Republic.
AYM is a 501(c)(3) and works with the poorest of the poor in the Dominican Republic, building new homes, providing educational support to local schools and teachers, and have also been providing pop-up / M.A.S.H. Style medical clinics to those without access to health care.

"For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, a stranger and you welcomed me,
naked and you clothed me, ill and you cared for me, in prison and you visited me."

How can you help?
"Will you come and follow me if I but call your name? Will you go where you don't know and never be the same? Will you let my love be shown? Will you let my name be known? Will you let my life be grown in you and you in me?" ~ John Bell
Testimonials
"Over the years, after visiting the people in this village several times a year, they have become my extended family.
Their never ending love, gratitude, and willingness to learn from the mission work has been rewarding beyond words.
This work has helped them to live in safe homes, provided food to their tables, and soon will be providing an American style medical facility!
Join us, help these people and it will change your life"!
Sincerely, Tom Doyle

"The mission presents us a beautiful daily combination of prayer, community, and charity. We start the day with prayer without words, resting in the silence and love of God--letting go and allowing God to penetrate our inmost being, preparing us for the day. Then we get to go out and experience charity, witnessing the face of God on so many who have so little. And we end the day in community and reflection with fellow missionaries. What a blessed and fulfilling day!
The mission week is such a wonderful gift of renewal and awakening of the spirit within us. Heightening our level of consciousness to recognize and accept the invitation to go deeper with God who is always drawing us in. Taking this renewed spirit home with us and continue this practice of prayer, community and charity in our daily lives." Missionary – Nolan Miklusicak |
