History

Slippery McDivot's Charity Golf Classic was founded in 1998 by Tom Doyle and Amy Gadison-Herring. Their objective was to create a day of fun and camaraderie, while raising money for a charitable worthy cause. Throughout the years approximately $310,000 has been donated to charity. Since 2014 our selected charity has been Adelante Youth Mission.  100% of all proceeds raised go directly to the material costs of building and furnishing new homes in the Dominican Republic. Volunteers from West Michigan and throughout the U.S. volunteer their time, talents & treasure. In 2023 the Slippery McDivot raised over $65,000 for Adelante Youth Mission!

How you can help

​If you cannot participate in our event but would still like to show your support, there are many sponsorships available and listed in detail on the flyer and below.  Sponsors are proudly displayed at various locations and listed on all print material for the day, as well as shared on social media.

    ​Sponsorship opportunities are listed in detail near the bottom of this page, and on the full registration form.  All include signage on-site as indicated, recognition in all print material used throughout the day as well as social media.  For signage production please let us know no later than Wednesday, August 28!
    ​​​Goods or items donated are always welcome and greatly appreciated!  Please email [email protected] if you have an item to donate for the auction.

Sponsorship Details
​All levels include recognition on all print material used throughout the day, and the items listed below:

  • Tee Sponsor $150 - Includes one tee sign on the course with your name or logo
  • Game Sponsor $200 - Includes one sign with your name or logo at a game on the course
  • FULL- none available - Cart Sponsor $400 - Logo on all carts (3 available).
  • Beverage or Food Sponsor $250 - includes one sign at a beverage or food station during play, then near the serving tables during dinner
  • Auction Sponsor $300 - includes one sign with your name or logo prominently displayed at the auction tables
  • Please note the golf teams are full.  The below sponsorships will not include golf.
  • Furnishings Sponsor $800 - Providing a sponsored family with new furnishings for their new home. Includes a complimentary twosome of golfers and one tee sign with your name or logo. 
  • Half New Home Sponsor $1500 - Team up with a friend or partner to fund an entire new home!  Includes one large special recognition sign, complimentary twosome of golfers and dedication plaque given to your sponsored family! Home will be completed in March of 2025 and we will provide photos of your sponsored family and their new home!
  • New Home Sponsor $3,000 - Fund an entire new home for your sponsored family!  Includes one large special recognition sign, complimentary foursome of golfers and dedication plaque given to your sponsored family!  Home will be completed in March of 2025 and we will provide photos of your sponsored family and their new home!

  • Golfing payment will be required at check-in, mailed in advance to the address below or paid through our online "Square" payment center in advance.  At check-in we will accept major credit cards, checks and cash.
  • Sponsors may mail checks to the address below, pay at check-in if golfing or pay via our "Square" payment center in advance.
